Minecraft Dungeons: Progression system - personalization, leveling up, equipment
On this page of the Minecraft Dungeons guide, you will find information related to the progression system, leveling up, upgrading equipment and character personalization.
Personalization
At the beginning of the game, you must choose your hero from the available characters. There are no classes - the decision you make is purely cosmetic and has no impact on the gameplay.
Leveling up
You gain the experience required for leveling up by completing story quests and defeating opponents (including bosses). Once you have accumulated the right number of points, your hero will reach the next level. Since your character doesn't acquire new abilities, you will have to invest in upgrading your gear.
New levels give you enchantment points. Having the right number of these points will allow you to unlock new abilities that affect the equipment properties. This way, you can, for example, increase attack strength, improve damage resistance, or heal your allies.
Upgrading equipment
Once you have enough enchantment points, you will be able to upgrade your equipment. You can do this in the equipment menu - select the piece you want to modify and start the upgrades panel. Each weapon has a specific number of skill slots, and only certain abilities can be assigned to each of them [1].
Each skill has several levels [2]. During the game, you can invest enchantment points in previously acquired abilities to improve their efficiency.
