Indiana Jones Great Circle: The Cave of Darkness puzzle and the confrontation with the Giant

Exploring Ancient Caves in the Gizeh region in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will lead you to the Cave of Darkness. Reaching the Cave of Darkness

1. The Cave of Darkness is a unique underground location that you can reach while exploring the Ancient Caves. This will happen shortly after solving the Three-Eyed Gate puzzle; we described it on a separate page of the guide.

The Cave of Darkness puzzle, how to examine the statue?

1. There are 3 pressure plates in the Cave of Darkness; standing on them can brighten up the surrounding area a bit. The first plate is directly across from the entrance to the Cave of Darkness.
2. The remaining two pressure plates are in the lower part of the cave - to the left and right of the statue.

1. Activating all 3 plates will allow you to examine the statue. It has an empty slot and in just a few moments you will place an artifact in it.

How to defeat the Guardian Giant?

1. A blind Giant will appear in the cave and after the cutscene, a fight will ensue.
2. Start by reactivating the nearest pressure plates. This will allow parts of the cave to become illuminated again and you won't have to fight with your lighter out all the time.

1. The giant uses only his sense of hearing. Once Indy is detected, the opponent can start charging. When it happens, quickly move away from the enemy or jump away.
2. The boss can catch you. If that happens, press the attack button to free yourself as quickly as possible and lose as few health points as possible.

1. Rely on moving in a crouching position, which will make it difficult for the Giant to locate you. You can also sprint for a moment and then immediately return to stealth; this will provoke the giant to run to a specific location.
2. Look for two-handed weapons lying on the ground across the cave. Pick them up, sneak up on the boss and hit him with the weapon. Then, move away so that the enemy stops pursuing you and look for another opportunity to repeat the attack. After breaking the weapon, look for another one: there are quite a few of them in the area.

1. The Giant will be knocked to the ground once you deal enough damage. Search the enemy's body to obtain the Guardian Pendant.

Where to use the Guardian Pendant?

1. Make sure all 3 pressure plates are pressed again (including the one located at the entrance to the Cave of Darkness). Only after doing this can you interact with the statue and place the Guardian Pendant there (see the screenshot above). You can now resume your journey through the caves to the location of the Idol of Ra.
