The Quinfall Description
The Quinfall is an MMORPG that takes us to a fantasy universe inspired by the Middle Ages. The game was developed by the independent studio Vawraek Technology from Turkey and represents its debut project.
Story
The story of The Quinfall takes place in the titular fantasy land, immersed in eternal conflict. During the game, we learn its story (in which a certain cursed crown plays a key role) and we find out about the influence local deities had on it. We also try to establish peace or, on the contrary, join the war turmoil.
Our actions and decisions we make affect both our own fate and the future of the entire world.
Gameplay
In The Quinfall we watch the action from a third-person perspective (TPP).
Character creation and classes
We start the game by creating a character, deciding on their appearance and profession. The available classes are closely tied to the weapons used, so we can become a specialist in wielding two axes, a nimble rogue using a dagger, a warrior attacking enemies with a heavy war hammer, sword or spear, a battle mage equipped with a magic staff, a crossbowman, an archer or finally a knight wielding a sword and shield.
Additionally, each profession has subclasses that allow it to be better adapted to individual needs and preferences. For example, when using a staff, we can focus on frost or fire magic, while wielding a sword and shield, we can concentrate on attack or defense.
As we progress, we develop the character, gradually gaining access to increasingly powerful abilities. We can also increase our combat potential with the help of acquired equipment.
Open world
The Quinfall gives us access to an open world. The authors have disclosed that the playable area of the land in the game is 2016 square kilometers. It consists of regions that vary in terms of appearance, prevailing atmospheric conditions, and the monsters that inhabit them. We are talking about green valleys, marshes, snow-covered terrains, ice-bound mountain peaks, seas and oceans.
We travel the world on foot, on the back of a mount, or at the helm of a ship. Its exploration is enriched by changing seasons and weather, as well as the daily cycle.
Combat and opponents
The fights in the game are dynamic. A non-target system has been implemented here, so we don't have to choose a target first to launch an attack.
The game allows us to fight both with adversaries controlled by artificial intelligence and with other players. Among the first ones, we will find relatively small creatures and intelligent beings, but also much more powerful creatures, like dragons, desert worms, trolls, or sea creatures.
We can compete with other players, engaging in land skirmishes, participating in castle sieges (during which the gameplay takes on a somewhat strategic character, and we must not only skillfully wield weapons, but also make use of war machines like trebuchets) or in naval battles (during which the key to success is primarily skillful ship maneuvering, accurate shooting and avoiding attacks).
Crafting, trading and other activities
While visiting locations, we get to know their inhabitants and perform quests, gradually discovering further elements of the main plot. During breaks from experiencing adventures, we can devote ourselves to more mundane activities. They include crafting items that we then trade, using existing caravan routes or creating our own. In addition to this, we can devote ourselves to modifying and improving the house, find an animal companion, or participate in various events.
Game modes
The Quinfall only allows for multiplayer gameplay over the Internet. We can both cooperate with other players, for example by participating in battles with world bosses (PvE), or fight with them to the death (PvP). The game allows to join one of the existing clans or creating our own.
