Indiana Jones Great Circle: The Demon Tomb puzzle (A Study in Fear)

The Burial Chamber in the fieldwork A Study in Fear in the Sukhothai region is the location of the puzzle with the symbol pedestals and the Demon Tomb in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Our walkthrough explains how to correctly arrange the symbols, where to find the missing key, and how to obtain the Idol of Yaksha, hidden behind the demon's head.

Reaching the real Demon Tomb

1. The Demon Tomb is the most important location in the quest A Study in Fear, where you'll find the sought-after artifact, the Idol of Yaksha. You will reach the Burial Chamber shortly after examining the false tomb and solving the Sarcophagus Trap puzzle; we described it on the previous page of the guide.
2. In the Burial Chamber there are symbol pedestals. At the opposite end of the room there is also a Demon Head that can be photographed.

The Demon Tomb puzzle, how to arrange the symbols?

The order of solving the smaller puzzles in the Demon Tomb is marked on the screenshot:

1. First deal with the left symbol pedestal, marked as 1 in the screenshot;
2. Next in line is the right pedestal, marked as 2 in the screenshot;
3. Lastly, deal with the middle pedestal, marked as 3 in the screenshot;
4. The final step will be to place 3 keys in the slots: see the spot marked as 4 in the screenshot.

1. You can deal with the left symbol pedestal right away, because it is the only one that does not require additional preparations. Move the key so that the symbols line up in one row as shown in the screenshot above.

1. Before you go to the right symbol pedestal, you need to find the hook to the right of the Demon's Head; grab it with the whip and pull it. This will activate the pedestal.

1. To solve the puzzle of the right pedestal, use 2 keys. Switch between them to arrange the symbols in one row. It is most convenient to start with the inner circles. The correct arrangement of symbols is shown in the screenshot.

1. The middle pedestal requires a third key, which Indy doesn't have yet. The key is hidden in a bird's nest at the top of the Burial Chamber. Start climbing at the location shown in screenshot 1.
2. Along the way, use your whip where necessary until you reach the nest. There you'll find the Cross & Diamond Key; take it and get back down.

1. You can now use all 3 keys on the central symbol pedestal. Place them one by one in the same rows. The solution to this puzzle is shown in the screenshot.

1. The final pedestal will unlock. Your task is to place the 3 keys you've obtained in the slots while selecting the matching symbols; the solution to the puzzle is shown in the screenshot. You will lose the inserted keys, but you will no longer need them anyway.

1. Pull the lever that will appear in place of the pedestal. The Demon's Head will turn and reveal a stash with the Idol of Yaksha. Talk to Annika there to advance in the quest.
